Silvia Corti was born and raised on the shores of Como Lake, on 17 November 1981. After a first training block in philosophy, she devoted herself to the goldsmith for several years, finally reaching the fine arts mainly through sculpture. Her artistic work is distinguished by the strong will of interlocution with the audience, witnessed by the growing introduction in her work of performance, and focusing on issues related to the intrinsic human nature. The long stays away from the hometown were of fundamental importance in the definition of her artistic sensibility; periods in which she developed a different perspective on the reference values. It is perhaps in this perspective that must be inserted the current commitment into a research that oscillates and yearns at a communion between aesthetics and spirituality in her own work.
